- Systolic and diastolic pressure, in mmHg, from a validated upper-arm monitor.
- Why it matters
- A core cardiometabolic marker, and one of the more plausible ways a training block could show a measurable health effect independent of the marathon goal itself.
- Current status
- No readings have been recorded for this project yet.
- What unlocks it
- Baseline reading being scheduled.
Source & method
Home reading, validated monitor, seated and rested per standard guidance; posture and repeat readings noted.
Measurement caveats
Posture, recent caffeine, recent exercise, and cuff size all move a single reading. Multiple seated readings are preferred over one; readings are reported with those conditions attached.
Author reflection
No reading yet means there's no real reaction to report — just the plan to get one. This section will carry a short first-person note once a baseline exists.
