The author

I'm Nishanth Sudharsanam, the person doing the training and writing the entries. Professionally, I'm a healthtech entrepreneur working on personalized, preventive healthcare systems — previously the Founding CTO of Elyx, a longevity-focused concierge clinic in Singapore. On the running side, I've done four half marathons over the years, and for about seven years I've been tinkering with wearables and biohacking my own training and health data.

What I'm not is a clinician, a coach, or an expert runner. I can put together a training plan that looks correct on paper; I can't tell you what it does to a 40-year-old's blood pressure or joints over four months, and I shouldn't be the only person checking my own single-subject experiment. That's what Dr. Reddy is here for — not to catch a naive plan, but to give an informed one the outside check it still needs.

Dr. Varun Reddy

Dr. Varun Reddy is a collaborator on this project: a clinician-scientist with a surgical and research background, including early work in cognitive neuroscience and regenerative medicine, now focused on preventive, precision-oriented healthspan medicine. He was previously the founding Chief Medical Officer of Elyx, a longevity-focused concierge clinic in Singapore. His review of the training plan is in progress; see his profile page for the full background and how his commentary will be attributed.

The project boundary

This site documents one person's four-month marathon preparation and whatever happens to his health markers along the way. It's an experiment in public, not a research study, not a coaching program, and not medical advice. Health findings are reported regardless of direction — improvement, decline, or nothing notable at all — and a single person's results are never presented as proof of a general health claim. The full reasoning behind that boundary lives on The Experiment.

Editorial principles, briefly

  • Health markers are observed, not scored as wins or losses.
  • The plan, its revisions, and actual training stay distinguishable — nothing gets silently rewritten.
  • Estimates, home readings, lab measurements, and subjective reports are never presented as if they were the same kind of number.
  • Mistakes, missed sessions, and bad decisions are published, not edited out.
